This Heuer 3000, model number 934.213, was from the short lived premium range of 1980’s Heuer and Tag Heuer divers watches.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
The last Heuer catalogue made was in 1984, and it was this catalogue that launched the 3000 range as a premium range for Heuer. In 1985, Heuer became Tag Heuer and the models changed. This watch is likely to have been made circa 1984.

Pre TAG Heuer watches are always collectible. Mechanically Heuer watches are often identical to their later TAG Heuer siblings, but the market dictates that Heuer are worth more. This Heuer 3000 is far harder to find than the 1000/1500/2000 models, and this is a nice example. The dial is very clean, and that includes the lume on plots and hands. The brushed case has just a very few marks, and the unidirectional bezel has all twelve black screws on the sides to aid turning it, especially when wearing diving gloves. The ETA 555.413 movement is branded Heuer 4.85, but doesn’t look to be any different to a standard 555 series movement. The crown is signed with the TAG Heuer shield rather than just the Heuer shape – this is not uncommon on transition watches as Heuer became Tag Heuer, or could be a service replacement. It screws down nicely. Model 934.213 never came with a bracelet, and we have fitted a new green leather strap – this can be easily changed for a different colour if required.
