One of the rarer fixed bezel 2000 models, with the more desirable Heuer only dial. Model reference 950.006.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
We have found this exact model in the 1984 Heuer brochure. This was the last brochure before the watches and company were rebranded TAG Heuer, so it can not be made later than 1984.
CONDITION
The 2000 range had an enormous number of variations. As well as dial and movement choices, you could have two different chronographs, and four or five different bezel options. Most have a divers style rotating bezel, but on the 950.006 the bezel is fixed. This model also has pencil hands rather than the Mercedes style more typically associated with Heuer and TAG Heuer models of this period. The full size case was originally water resistant to 200m, and is all stainless steel. This watch the largest size Heuer offered, and is the most popular today. It has a few marks, the worst being at 26 minutes and 52 minutes on the bezel. The original bracelet has been lost over the years, but we have fitted a new rally style leather strap that is quite in keeping. The movement is branded Heuer, so is likely original, but the screw down crown has the TAG Heuer logo so may be a later replacement. We will install a brand new battery before sending the watch out to the new owner.
