This tank style Certina Vogue is New Old Stock, one of two we currently slightly different models we have to offer. Model reference 71088.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
While this can not be dated 100% accurately, we do have evidence that the Vogue was launched at Basel World in 1983 and no longer featured in the 1986 catalogue. During this point models did have very short lives as fashion and technology changed quickly, so we believe this was made circa 1983.
CONDITION
The watch is unworn, and as such in museum quality condition. The branded burgundy leather strap is new, and the buckle is signed. The clip on case back still has the protective sticker in place. This size was popular for Men in the early eighties, but is now considered unisex – much like the Must de Cartier tank watches are. Inside is a Certina 129 movement, which is their branded version of the reliable ETA 956.111. The crown is signed too. We will install a brand new battery before sending the watch out to the new owner. The cheapest new Certina we can see is more than double what we are asking for this New Old Stock version.
