This Boctok Amphibia is a classic and available for comparatively little money.  This one is in fantastic condition.

With help from the owner of this great website on Soviet watches (who is also a valued customer of BYW’s), he has provided the page from the 1983 Boctok catalogue.  It could be that this model was available for surrounding years too, so we have decided to say this watch was made circa 1983.

There is a good write up on this model, and the later Vostok versions, on Hodinkee here.

This example is as good as you will find, being very difficult to fault.  The watch winds nicely via the standard wobbly crown, which if you haven’t experienced before takes a little getting used to.  These Amphibia divers watches were originally rated to 200m depth, so the crown does screw down.  Most vintage Soviet watches are either gold or chrome plated, but this has a stainless steel case.  You can still see the machined finish, as good as new.  The leather bund style strap suits this watch perfectly in our opinion, but you could have a conventional leather strap if you prefer.

This watch will be supplied with our Certificate of Authenticity.
