This Baume & Mercier wristwatch is highly original, even down to the original leather strap.  Model reference A.4760.018

Judging from the design and movement used we think this watch was made around 1983.

Baume & Mercier have been making watches since 1830, and for the past fifty years a square design has normally been in their model line up.  The current one is called the Hampton, and starts at £1,300 for the quartz model.  The current model is large to suit modern tastes, but in the early to mid eighties small, thin and discrete was the fashion.  This may have been a men’s watch back then, but now it would be considered unisex.  We have photographed the watch on two different wrists to show the scale.

This watch is in excellent order.  The watch retains the original crown, buckle and even leather strap as well as inner and outer boxes.  The dial is superb, and in line with the fashion of the time is gold and silver.  So is the case, with the main part of the case being stainless steel and the bezel is either gold plated or solid gold.  The movement is also signed, but it is a ETA base just signed Baume & Mercier.  A new battery will be fitted before the watch is sent out.

This watch will be supplied with the original presentation boxes, and our Certificate of Authenticity.
