This Nino automatic watch has an ETA movement and is in almost NOS condition, including the original bracelet.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
Dating this with absolute accuracy would be almost impossible, but the movement used in this watch was launched in 1978 and therefore this watch can not be older than this. It may be a little newer, but by the late seventies most watches were switching to the new fashionable and cheaper quartz movements.
CONDITION
We really wouldn’t be surprised if this Nino watch has never been worn. The bracelet is quite long , as if it had never been sized for anyone. The graining on the slab sides of the stainless steel case is mint. The clasp on the bracelet only has very, very light marks and the polished sections of the bracelet are also in very good order – those two areas are usually the first to show wear. The dial is a combination of mint green and blue, and very 1970’s. The movement is the ETA 2879, a 17 jewel unsigned automatic with quick set day and date. The day wheel is in English and a language we do not recognise. The bracelet wasn’t cleaned in our ultrasonic bath – it simply didn’t need it.
