CONDITION

In 1977 there was a lot of choice to hour your watch worked.  the new tech was LCD, taking over LED, and quartz was becoming mainstream.  But where many manufacturers chose to develop cheaper movements, Longines developed the 990.1.  It was the thinnest automatic movement with centre seconds and date made, at just 2.95mm high.  But is was also nicely finished with Côtes de Genève decoration, and runs at 28,800 bph.  You also get the benefit of hacking seconds and quick set date.  The dial is nice and clean, with Breguet painted numerals.  The case is gold plated and has wear marks at the very tip of the lugs, and a small spot on the rear, but is otherwise good.  The crown has an undamaged cabochon polished blue stone set into it.  The leather strap is new, and could be swapped for a different colour if preferred.

This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.
