This Trafalgar manual wind watch is in a diver style, and features a very nice concave black dial with lume on the hour markers.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
The EB 8810 movement dates from circa 1975, and Trafalgar watches became a registered trademark in January 1977, so we are saying this watch was made circa 1977.
CONDITION
Cosmetically, the watch is a nice design with a very clean dial and nice raised hour markers. The bezel insert looks to have been repaired near thirty. Mechanically the watch is running well, but the bezel is missing the click spring so can freely rotate – see the video. The watch claims to be waterproof to 5ATM, but as it doesn’t have a screw down back or screw down crown I wouldn’t have trusted that claim when new! It has a new crystal and is currently on a used NATO strap, which suits the design, but we will fit a new NATO before sending the watch out to the new owner.
