This large automatic Zenith Defy is very eye catching and good quality.  Model reference 01-0020-380

The movement used in this watch was only made between 1975 and 1978, so we think this was made circa 1976.

The Zenith calibre 2572PC movement is a high specification movement in a time where most manufacturers were moving away from mechanical movements and towards Quartz, LED and LCD modules.  Running at 28,800 bph, this seventeen jewel movement has quickset date and micrometer regulation, a feature you will only find in high end watches.  Like the Zenith el Primero, you set the hands with the signed crown pulled out to position one and adjust the quickset date by pulling it out to position 2.  This movement is set in a chunky all stainless steel case with an unusual angular design.  This case has not been polished, so does show some marks, but that is the price of originality.  The bracelet is not stamped anywhere with any logo, but is long and suits the design of the watch.  The glass is very good, and the grey dial is good except for near 6, where the paint is lifting.  This is not a Zenith Defy model we have ever seen before, so if you miss this one then please do not ask us to find another.

This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.
