With a good ETA automatic movement and very 1970’s look, this Rotary is going to be ideal for someone (but not everyone). Model reference 484
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
Rotary watches don’t have serial numbers to be able to date them with complete accuracy, bu the movement used in this example was only made between 1974 and 1979 so we have picked a mid point year. We have also had hexagonal watches from Bulova that dated to 1976.
CONDITION
There are some tastes that people either love or hate, and this watch will divide opinion. That’s okay – the people that like this will love the faded dial, hexagonal case and would likely be put off by a plainer watch. We are all different. Inside this gold plated case is a good ETA automatic movement, calibre 2836, which has 25 jewels and quick set day and date. This is a Swiss made watch, and Rotary did switch production of most of their watches to the far east later, reserving their Swiss made watches for their more expensive watches. The movement is running nicely and fully working. The case does have some wear on the edges, as shown in the photos, and the faded dial has some patina. The leather strap is new, and could be swapped for a different colour if preferred.
This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.

From 1st September 2021 we will be planting a tree for every watch we sell, working with the International Tree Foundation (Est 1922) to make this business positive on carbon. By buying anything pre owned you are effectively reusing what already exists, but this takes it further and makes us feel good.
