This Vulcain Georges Claude is unworn, with the case back sticker still in place, and is not likely to be able to be found like this again.

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

The movement used in this watch was launched in 1976, so the watch can not pre date that but could have been made later.

CONDITION

Vulcain have a proud watchmaking history, and their biggest success was the Cricket alarm watch.  Georges Claude was a prolific inventor, and nicknamed the Edison of France, but he would have been dead for at least 16 years before this watch was launched, so had nothing to do with this.  Inside is a FHF 69N, manual wind 17 jewel movement that is keeping time.  The jet black dial with white hands provides excellent contrast, making telling the time easy.  The bracelet has a cross hatch pattern on it and shows no wear – only the case back has a mark, and that might be on the sticker only and not touched the metal.

This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.

Please see the HD video for more detail.  All photos and videos are part of the description and are of the actual watch unless mentioned.  We do not photoshop any pictures, and the images are copyright of birthyearwatches.com and should not be used without permission.
