HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
Certina were first founded in 1888, but clearly this watch is far newer than that! The movement in this watch was first launched in 1965, and Certina stopped using serial numbers in 1974. As this watch doesn’t have a watch serial number on the case back it must be post 1974, and the style of the watch suits the mid seventies too, so we think it was made circa 1975.
CONDITION
Overall this ladies Certina is in very good condition. The dial especially, with a textured sparkle, is in very nice shape. The bracelet is integrated, so it can not be swapped for a different style, but it has a sliding clasp so will fit even large wrists – we show how this works in the video. The movement, a Certina 13-22, is far better than you will find in most 70’s ladies watches. Not only is it nicely finished, but this in house movement also has micro adjustment. The only issue is that the crown sits flush with the case, so hand winding it is a little tricky (at least for larger fingers!). The plating is excellent, and the bracelet only has minor twisting (a common issue on integrated bracelets). This watch is signed on the dial, clasp, crown, case back and movement.

Bracelet will fit a maximum wrist size of 190 mm. The bracelet needs no tools to make it smaller than this, as shown in the video.
