HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
The only evidence we have is the production dates of the FE140-1 manual wind movement, which can be dated to circa 1975. That certainly matches the styling, so we are happy to go with that date.
CONDITION
We think this watch could be unworn, although we can not say for 100% certain. If it was worn then it was done so very carefully! The watch is unmarked, with the polished and grained UFO style lugless case being outstanding. The watch came with what we think was the original strap, which has dried out and cracked. We will include that in the sale to preserve the history, but we have fitted a new blue strap that will allow you to wear the watch safely. The 41mm lugless case is large for a vintage watch, and the date has the semi quickset method for changing. (see this video)
