Clever, pioneering manual wind movement and valuable strap and Tissot buckle.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the production dates of this movement, combined with the styling, we can date this to circa 1973.
We bought this as a non working watch without a crown, purely for the valuable and sort after 20mm Tropic Sport strap. But when we took the screw down back off and saw the pioneering movement just needed a little love, and the condition of the case and dial was very good, we decided to save the watch and invest a little time in getting this running well again. We’re glad we did. The dial is wonderful deep grey. The steel case doesn’t have dings, and that strap is as close to unused as possible. The white hands make this very easy to read.
39mm wide including the crown, 11.2mm thick. Takes a 20mm strap.
