Possibly new old stock, this unisex Pierre Duval watch is an interesting design that you are not likely to see again.

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

Information on Pierre Duval is very scant, but the movement was in production between 1969 and 1976.  Earlier versions had a setting lever screw, like this one, so we have leaned to this watch having been made circa 1972.

CONDITION

The unusual case design dominated the styling, but the graduated green dial is a very nice addition too.  The white hands against this background make this very legible too.  The movement is the manual wind, 17 jewel Durowe 69-21 calibre and it is working well.  The case is chromed but shows on;y very minor wear, and the screw down case back in stainless steel is better than the standard clip on backs.  The acrylic crystal has a few small marks, possibly from storage, but no cracks.  The green leather strap is new, and could be swapped for a different colour if preferred.  We have shown this on both gentlemen’s and ladies wrist, as it can be worn by anyone.

This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.

From 1st September 2021 we will be planting a tree for every watch we sell, working with the International Tree Foundation (Est 1922) to make this business positive on carbon.  By buying anything pre owned you are effectively reusing what already exists, but this takes it further and makes us feel good.
