From the Dutch firm Monte comes an attractive and very 1970’s alarm watch, resplendent with orange second and alarm hands.

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

From the production dates of the Swiss AS1931 21,600bph manual wind movement (1970-1974) we can date this watch to being made circa 1972.

CONDITION

The movement is working well, including the date which we have had fixed.  The alarm is functioning nicely, as shown in the video.  The dial is good, as are the hands, and all the applied hour markers are correct.  The chromed case does have a few marks, including  service engravings on the lugs which is an odd place to put them.  The case does have a few marks, but this is a fairly large watch and wears bigger than the dimensions suggest, hence they get a few knocks over the years.  We have fitted a new strap.

This watch will be supplied with our Certificate of Authenticity.
