The unusual Revue Nidor is not a model we have seen before, and this example is new old stock.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the production dates of the movement we can date this watch to being made circa 1972.
CONDITION
Before circa 1967 people generally had one watch, as they were an expensive item and money was not always available. But as production costs fell and more disposable income was available, designers could afford to be more bold with their designs as the watch might not be worn every day. You saw more colours, more quirkiness and a greater variety in case shapes. This long, slender case was shared with others in the MSR group (which was mainly Revue Thommen and Vulcain). Inside is the FHF 69N calibre, which is a robust and popular choice from the time. It is a manual wind movement, and has 17 jewels. It is all working well. The white hands on faded blue blue dial are highly legible, and the chromed case is in great condition. The case back sticker is on still, although one corner is missing. The leather strap is new, and could be swapped for a different colour if preferred.
As well as this Revue Nidor, we also have (at time of press) the sister watch the Vulcain Galo, also new old stock.
This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.

From 1st September 2021 we will be planting a tree for every watch we sell, working with the International Tree Foundation (Est 1922) to make this business positive on carbon. By buying anything pre owned you are effectively reusing what already exists, but this takes it further and makes us feel good.
