An affordable way to get an entry level Heuer, with prices for wristwatches soaring.  Model reference Decimal 501.213.

It is really difficult to identify the year of production on stopwatches, but we have found the exact same model in both 1971 and 1973 catalogues.  We don’t know when the model started, or stopped, being produced so circa 1972 is a best estimate.

Heuer were very clever with their marketing and the association with motorsport, making their timers the standard for the high precision required.  The decimal stopwatches were not as sexy, being used for time and motion studies, but the Heuer magic still looks just as good as a display piece.  This watch divides the minute by one hundred rather than sixty seconds, but the red minute counter is in standard minutes rather than decimal.  You can quickly reset the hands via the crown, and the slide button stops and starts the stopwatch.  The balck case back has a few wear marks, but overall condition is good.  The original box is tatty, but this packaging was not really designed to be kept for fifty plus years so it is a really nice bonus to have.

This watch will be supplied with the original presentation box, and our Certificate of Authenticity.
