New Old Stock (NOS) watches do not appear too often, and this Technos is such a great design it makes you wonder why it never sold when new.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
We do not have any documentation to indicate when this watch was made, but the movement used inside it was launched in 1970 so it has to be made after that. Later versions of this movement have an N suffix, which this one doesn’t have. We have searched the Basel yearbook, but that only starts from 1972 and this watch doesn’t appear in that. So we are happy to say this watch was likely made circa 1971.
CONDITION
Being NOS, this Technos has just light storage marks on the case and crystal. Inside is a FHF 69-21 movement, which has seventeen jewel and is manual wind. This is ticking away nicely and the watch keeps time. Of course the main point of this watch is the design – the long, thin case and Breguet numbers on the blue dial do make quite a statement, but it is still legible (some more quirky designs forget to make it easy to read the time!). The leather strap is new, and could be swapped for a different colour if preferred.
This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.
Please see the HD video for more detail. All photos and videos are part of the description and are of the actual watch unless mentioned. We do not photoshop any pictures, and the images are copyright of birthyearwatches.com and should not be used without permission.

From 1st September 2021 we will be planting a tree for every watch we sell, working with the International Tree Foundation (Est 1922) to make this business positive on carbon. By buying anything pre owned you are effectively reusing what already exists, but this takes it further and makes us feel good.
