This Invicta has the popular Valjoux 7733 chronograph movement fitted under that surfboard dial. Model reference 2417
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the movement production and development we can say this watch was built after the movement was launched in 1969 and before it underwent a specification change to the hammers circa 1971, which is a pretty tight window.
CONDITION
Invicta have a history going back to 1837, but that original company was another victim of the quartz crisis and closed in 1983. A new company using the brand started in 1991 and is going strong today, but this watch can not be compared to those modern offerings. This watch uses the Valjoux 7733 movement, which was also used by a variety of brands including Breitling, and it is correctly stamped for Invicta and running well. The dial has the surfboard shape covering the constant seconds and 45 minute chrono register. The dial is in excellent condition, and the case is very good too. The screw down case back has a new seal, and the crown is the signed original. The leather strap is new, and could be swapped for a different colour if preferred.
This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.

From 1st September 2021 we will be planting a tree for every watch we sell, working with the International Tree Foundation (Est 1922) to make this business positive on carbon. By buying anything pre owned you are effectively reusing what already exists, but this takes it further and makes us feel good.
