Pontiac was a brand that enjoyed success mainly around the Benelux region.  Here is an ETA powered stainless steel watch that is still affordable to most.

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

The movement is circa 1970, but in April 1970 Omega trademarked the Memomatic name for its alarm watch.  This, combined with the styling, leads us to believe this watch was made circa 1969.

CONDITION

Pontiac isn’t a brand that is seen much of in the UK, and we confess that we don’t know that much about them.  But as this watch has a good movement, stainless steel case and looks interesting as well as being in good condition we bought it.  From our research it appears that the three stars after the logo indicate this was Pontiac’s top line of quality, but this is off internet forums and is to be taken with an amount of caution.  If anyone has any evidence that this is true then please do contact us.  Inside the case is an ETA 2782 movement, which can be hand wound as well as automatically, and has a quick set date via the original signed crown.  The strap is a new high street leather one.

This watch will be supplied with our Certificate of Authenticity.
