This Zeno was called super protected as it was water resistant, shockproof, and had an unbreakable mainspring.  New Old Stock.

NOS is an overused word, but we bought this watch directly from the owner of Zeno Watch Basel.  He has run the company since 1965, and believes this watch was from early in his ownership, which also matches the production date of the movement.  So we think this is circa 1967.

The watch is all in great order, with just minimal storage marks.  The FHF 96 movement is all working well, and this manual wind 17 jewel movement has incabloc shock protection.  The whole movement is protected by a screw down case back in stainless steel.  The case is 20 micron gold plated, and has wonderful bombe lugs that are also drilled to make strap changes easier.  Black dials are rarer, and we wonder if this one wasn’t sold because of either a slight smudge on the N of Zeno, or that there is a slight mark near the centre which looks like tool marks.  The crown is signed with a logo or letter we don’t recognise.  The case back still has the plastic on it from new.  The leather strap is new too.

This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.
