A very wearable vintage Hamilton Automatic men’s vintage Dateline watch, complete with box and unstamped papers.  Model A-581

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

We know that the Dateline A-581 model was only made in 1966 and 1967, so this watch has to be circa 1966.

CONDITION

The watch is very good.  The dial has just the lightest of marks.  The Calibre 64A movement is keeping good time,  The all stainless steel case has a few tool marks on the back (I guess they didn’t realise that this is a front loader case), but is otherwise very good.  There is some slight movement of the dial and movement when setting the time, but this is not significant.  The date function is semi quick set, and working well.  So often watches that are kept in their original boxes are in good condition, as it says something about their owners that they treasure their possessions.  The acrylic crystal is unmarked.  The extra long leather strap is new, with a generic chrome buckle.

This watch will be supplied with the original presentation box, papers and our Certificate of Authenticity.
