This all stainless steel Rodania, which were also called Rodana is some markets, is a nice clean example.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
Sadly no serial numbers are on the Rodania, so we have to use other data available. From the movement production dates, combined with the styling clues, we think this watch was produced circa 1965.
CONDITION
Rondania were founded in Grenchen, Switzerland in 1930 and are still producing watches today. This watch has a screw down case back which claims to be antimagnetic and shockproof, and inside is a AS1803 manual wind movement with shock protection as promised. It is all working well. The dial has some patina, as do the hands on their tritium lume, but that does show they are original. The leather strap is nearly new, and could be swapped for a different colour if preferred but the red does work well with the red seconds hand.
