A ladies watch with automatic wind, centre second and calendar from Swiss brand Cyma. Model reference 181136
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the production dates of the movement we think this was made circa 1964.
CONDITION
Most ladies watches are manual wind, as fitting the extra engineering into a small ladies case is not easy. The movement is a Cyma branded ETA 2389, which is remarkable for the complexity squeezed into such a small calibre. It has not only automatic winding, but also a date with a semi quickset calendar all housed in a case under 10mm thick. That case is well specified too, with 20 micron gold plating and a screw down case back. The crown is signed with the Synctron logo. The movement is all working well, but the date changes at 4am instead of midnight. The leather strap is new, and could be swapped for a different colour if preferred.
This watch will be supplied with the original presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.
