This Mora Sport has a stainless steel case and a blue dial, which is always a popular combination.

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

Mora were established in 1911 but information on the company is sparse.  The movement dates to circa 1965, and the inside of the case back is stamped 962 – this could be for September 1962, but we can not be sure.  As everything else could fit for 1962 then we can say this was was made circa 1962.

CONDITION

This watch is a good example of when branding doesn’t matter.  You may never have heard of Mora – we hadn’t – but this is a decent watch available at a good price that can be enjoyed.  The case is all stainless steel, with screw on case back and new tension ring crystal.  This was originally designated as a waterproof watch, which may not be the case now but it has certainly helped keep everything looking good.  The movement is a 17 jewel FHF 96, which is all working well.  The dial is a nice blue and only has minor wear, and the hands have white paint which really helps provide a strong contrast to make seeing the time easier.  The leather strap is new, and could be swapped for a different colour if preferred.

This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.
