This rolled gold plated Hamilton Lowell is a clean example and looks great on the wrist.

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

Hamilton made the Lowell model between 1958 and 1961, so we have picked a mid point year as a likely date of manufacture.

CONDITION

We are not sure why this watch was called the Lowell, and neither is the website dedicated to vintage Hamilton watches when they discuss the same model (not the same actual watch).

This watch has the original dial, which for a non waterproof case is in very good order.  The bottom right lug is slightly bent upwards, but this has not cracked the rolled gold bezel so we have left it as it is.  It is also nice to find the original signed crown, which on a manual wind watch often gets worn out.  It is an indication that this watch hasn’t had a hard life.  The movement is a Hamilton 673 and this is all running sweetly, and the soft leather strap is new.  This watch wears larger than the dimension suggest thanks to the slim case and bezel, so this is all dial and that gives the impression of a larger watch.

This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.

Please see the HD video for more detail.  All photos and videos are part of the description and are of the actual watch unless mentioned.  We do not photoshop any pictures, and the images are copyright of birthyearwatches.com and should not be used without permission.
