Lemania have always been prized for their chronograph movements. This three-hander still uses an in house movement, but this time it is calibre 3170.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the date period of the movement, combined with other styling clues we can date this watch to being made circa 1955.
CONDITION
When people think of Lemania you are immediately reminded of the chronograph movements made for Omega, Tissot, Longines and others. Finding a less busy dial is harder, but thankfully much cheaper than the chrono movements. The 20 micron gold plated case is good, bordering on very good. The golden dial has hour markers and hands in what appears to be copper, and the only splash of colour is the red tip of the sweep seconds hand. The dial has a slight smudge over 4, noticeable in some lights/angles. This is a good size watch for the period, and wears larger than the dimensions suggest. The leather strap is new, and has a gold tone buckle to match. The movement is all in house and is setting and winding well, and keeping excellent time on our timegrapher. Model / case number 241.
