Solid steel case, fancy lugs.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
By comparing the styling with other watches that have definite production dates we deduce this watch is from circa 1951. No accurate records are available.
CONDITION
The solid steel case is all in good shape, and shows that this watch is of a higher specification than most chrome plated cased of the period. The dial has just a few age spots, and the hands show some corrosion, but he overall effect is pleasing. The dial is stamped FOREIGN, as saying made in Germany wouldn’t have been popular in England – rationing was still in place following WWII until 1954!
