Unusual early Accurist with Maltese cross dial and in fabulous condition.

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

We can date this to circa 1948.  Accurist were founded in 1946 and began by importing quality Swiss 21j movements.  This is the first known logo for Accurist, and these factors together with the styling clues point towards late forties.

CONDITION

Original and looks like it has spent its life in a drawer.  Very difficult to fault.  Wish we could find more like this but we can’t!  There is a slight blemish to the acrylic near nine, but we are really getting picky now!  It is even a very usable size for a vintage watch.
