If you are in the market for an inexpensive vintage Swiss watch, this Hefik must tick a few boxes.

This will not be terribly accurate – we don’t even know when Hefik were founded (they moved from La Chaux-de-Fonds to Biel in 1960).  There is no serial number database for them, nor does this case have any inscription or assay mark.  Based purely on the styling and size we think this was made circa 1940, but if you know differently please do contact us.

This Hefik watch has a chromed case holding an ETA 900 series movement which is running well.  The chrome does have a few marks – as should be expected for a chrome case of this age, and the dial has a yellow patina most likely caused by cigarette smoke (remember how many people smoked back when this was new.)  We do not often offer watches at this price point, but this one just stood out as a decent example and good value for money.  The leather strap is new, and could be swapped for a different colour if preferred.  We have refitted the case back since taking the photos to make it sit better, as shown in the video.

This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.

Please see the HD video for more detail.  All photos and videos are part of the description and are of the actual watch unless mentioned.  We do not photoshop any pictures, and the images are copyright of birthyearwatches.com and should not be used without permission.

From 1st September 2021 we will be planting a tree for every watch we sell, working with the International Tree Foundation (Est 1922) to make this business positive on carbon.  By buying anything pre owned you are effectively reusing what already exists, but this takes it further and makes us feel good.
