An Art Deco style c1939 Omega ladies watch with a copper coloured dial and a Staybrite case. Manual wind movement and leather strap.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
The serial number on this watch dates to between 1926 and 1944, but the R13.5 Omega movement didn’t start production until 1938. The earliest service mark in the case is 1943, so it must be between 1938 and 1943. Even Omega don’t have the exact records for this period, so this is as close as we can get.
CONDITION
The condition of this watch is more like 20 years old than over 70. The copper dial has some dirt on it, but the sides of the StayBrite case are crisp and the movement is keeping good time. The curved glass is perfect and there is a new leather strap fitted.
This watch will be supplied with a presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.
