HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the supplied paperwork, which quotes the serial number on the case back, we can accurately date this watch to being sold in July 2021.
CONDITION
If you are a start up company, as MeisterSinger were in 2001, it is advisable that you have something different to stand out from a crowded marketplace. MeisterSinger designed their first watches, No.1 and No.3, to simply tell the time using one hand only. This is not technically difficult – take the minute hand off any watch and that is what you have – so that had to design the watch so as it looks like it should never have had a minute hand. That is why the single hand is more like pointer, going right to the edge of the dial where there are 5 minute markers between the hours. This Urban model adds some colour, in both the blue dial and the red calendar wheels (the Day wheel is in English only), and they have paired this with a nice NATO style strap in light blue. You could of course switch this out for a leather strap , but this summer look is actually more in vogue now than in 2021 (since the MoonSwatch and Farer Thurso launched). Inside is an automatic Miyota 8285 movement visible via the exhibition case back.
This watch will be supplied with the original presentation boxes, cleaning cloth, papers and our Certificate of Authenticity.
