HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
We bought this watch new in 2020, and the video shows us unpacking it.
CONDITION
We have always liked Rado watches, and it is only more recently they have become more broadly known about because of the success of the Captain Cook model. But it was the scratch proof cases on the DiaStar, started in 1962, that cemented their place in horological history. The D-Star was an update on this and first launched in 2011. It keeps the oval case design of the Diastar and combines this in this instance with the Hyperchrome ceramic case and bracelet technology. The D-Star has now been discontinued, replaced with the oxymoronic New Original, so this is the last chance to get one. The stealthy looks are very appealing, especially with the Arabic numerals which are very unusual for Rado. The RRP was £1,660, so this represents a significant saving but we only have the one. We have shown the watch on the video being unboxed, then removed most of the protection for photos (we didn’t remove the clasp cover), and then returned the protective covers.
This watch will be supplied with the original presentation box, papers, cleaning cloth and our Certificate of Authenticity.
