Unworn and with all the VHS style packaging, this Swatch X 007 Moonraker was part of a series of six – one for each of the actors to have played James Bond.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
This collection of six watches were introduced in February 2018, and the dial actually says 2018. In 2020 a seventh watch was added, dedicated to Q, and the spine of the VHS style box says these were from the 2020 James Bond Collection.
CONDITION
This collection has long since sold out and when we had the chance to buy three completely unworn watches we had to have them. We got Dr No, On Her Majesty’s Secret Service (OHMSS), and Moonraker. The watch we have here was a tribute to Roger Moore, the third Bond, and the 1979 Moonraker film. The strap and dial have a inky blue finish with glitter set into them to represent space, and the space shuttle printed on the acrylic crystal is a clear reference to the film. We will install a brand new battery before sending the watch out to the new owner.
This watch will be supplied with the original presentation inner and outer boxes, uncompleted papers and our Certificate of Authenticity.
