The Artena model from Eterna combines vintage looks with modern dimensions and technology. Model reference 2520-41-56-1259
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
We bought this watch new in 2020 as the model was being run out. As you can see on the video, we unboxed this watch.
The looks of the Artena is straight from the 1940’s, but instead of the 32mm cases common then this has a more modern 40mm stainless steel cases. The other nods to modernity is the precision quartz movement and the addition of a calendar, along with basic water resistance. Also a 1940’s watch would not have had a sapphire crystal like this watch does. The movement is an ETA, fitting as the company used to belong to Eterna (ETernA is how the name evolved). It is calibre 955.412, and it is a set and forget quartz movement. Every collection needs a grab and go watch, and quartz is ideal for that.
At time of listing some of our competitors are offering the Artena range for between £495 – £685. We only have one. Eterna have now replaced this model with their Heritage range, which starts at $2,200.
This watch will be supplied with the original presentation box, outer box, hang tag, cleaning cloth and user manual access card, and our Certificate of Authenticity.
