All Farer watches are quite limited on supply, and this Hecla with a titanium super compressor case is no longer available new.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the supplied warranty card, which matches the serial number on the case back, we can accurately date this watch to being sold on 27-07-2020. The five year warranty is still in place.
CONDITION
Farer watches do stand out, even in a room full of watch collectors. They are not the most obvious choice in the £1-3k price range when compared to Oris, Tudor, Longines or TAG Heuer for example, so they have to do things either differently or better. So in the case of the Helca model, what is different to say the Longines Legend diver? Farer had more freedom with the design, not tied back to brand values as much as a heritage brand like Longines. So the dial has more colour and texture – not as much as some Farer models, but just enough. The case is made from Titanium rather than steel – titanium is lighter and harder than steel, and more expensive to work with. The crown to alter the time is in bronze, which is a feature of many Farer watches. Inside is a 26 jewel Swiss made Sellita SW200-1 Elaboré finished automatic movement, which you will find in many watches in this price segment (although often hidden by marketing names, such as Oris 733 or TAG’s Calibre 5). Overall the condition is very good, but there is a personal engraving on the edge of the case back. The rubber strap is in very good condition and is comfortable too.
This watch will be supplied with the original presentation boxes, papers, hang tag, Farer cleaning cloth (unopened) and our Certificate of Authenticity.
