HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
Although the papers are not dated, we do have the confirmation email that the watch was bought new in 2019.
CONDITION
We don’t buy many modern watches, but if we do we only really want them if we like them. We like this Sinn! This is a pilots watch, which the main difference is the racheting rotating bezel is bi-directional where a divers watch is unidirectional. Sinn have been making watches in Frankfurt since 1961, and they have combined Swiss movements with German cases ever since to great effect. The automatic movement in this example is a nicely decorated SW220-1 with 26 jewels and quick set day and date – the day wheel can be in English or German. The Sinn branded leather strap is appears unworn, and has the Sinn branded buckle is still attached. Everything feels very well put together, and the lume is excellent – as are the syringe hands. This is a watch that feels better than the photos make it look.
