HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the warranty card we can accurately date this watch to being sold in June 2019.
CONDITION
This model is still available new at the Richard LeGrand website here. The new price is $250, but that doesn’t include any duty coming into Europe.
The watch is in as new condition, and obviously the stand out feature is the pastel blue dial which really pops. Like a lot of microbrand watches, they have chosen the automatic Seiko NH35 movement, so no concerns about reliability there and you also have the ability to hand wind this and hack the movement. You also have a signed buckle, and an excellent case back. The super compressor style case is finished with the cross hatch design like the original had on both crowns The time crown screws down, but the bezel adjuster one doesn’t. There is a bit of slack in the mechanism for the internal bezel, but at this price point we can forgive this. After all, few people will test the 200m dive rating but it is reassuring to know.
