HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the complete warranty card we can accurately date this watch to being sold in July 2019. These watches came with a five year warranty on the movement.
CONDITION

The Hopewell was launch in 2016 with an ETA movement, and the Hopewell II uses the Sellita SW200-1 instead. On the dial the noticeable difference is the ETA watch has a date window at 6, with a black on white disc, whereas the Sellita has the date in the more conventional 3 o’clock position with a colour coded date disc. The watch was designed in England, so the red hands are described as Post Box Red, and made in Switzerland. The specification list is good – 316L stainless steel case with a solid bronze crown, sapphire crystal and fine detail on the dial including Super Lumi-Nova lume – notice that the second hand reaches the very edge of the dial, which also has slight yellow detail to match the tip of the seconds hand. No wonder The Telegraph named it one of the best sub £1,000 you could buy in this article. No wonder these do not come up for sale often on the second hand market.
This is a lightly used example, with only fine scratches to the flanks and the used original strap showing any signs that it is not new. The leather strap is on quick release springbars, and the cleaning cloth has never even been opened. This represents an excellent chance to save money on a new watch.
