This Sekonda chronograph is one of just 141 ever produced to make 100 years since the RAF were formed. Model reference 9715
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
No. 141 squadron RAF were formed in 1918 at the very start of the RAF’s fine history, and this watch is to mark the centenary in 2018.
CONDITION
Modern Sekonda watches are not normally something we offer, but this tells a story and is worthy of its place here. Whilst this was never an issued watch by the RAF, the fact that only 141 were made makes this a true limited edition (by comparison Omega’s latest Seamaster for James Bond to wear is limited to 7,007 watches…)
The watch appears to be unworn, and this is without any marks. You have a chronograph and a 24 hour indicator on the subdials, and the quick set date at 4.30. The bracelet has a textured centre that is carried over onto the design on the dial surrounding the 141st’s logo. The case back protective sticker is still in place. As the bracelet is not integrated, you could wear this on a leather or NATO strap should you prefer.
This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.
Please see the HD video for more detail. All photos and videos are part of the description and are of the actual watch unless mentioned. We do not photoshop any pictures, and the images are copyright of birthyearwatches.com and should not be used without permission.
