HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the supplied warranty card we can accurately date this watch to being sold in 2018.
CONDITION
Farer are a small brand that have been making big waves. We have had a Hopewell model before, but we did not get to play with it for too long before it was sold. The Eldridge was part of a series of chronographs named after land speed record holders, all with different colourways. Worn and Wound have a period review here, and they describe the ‘Silk Chocolate’ colour of the Eldridge as the most Farer like of the four. Hodinkee were likewise quite impressed, and their review is here.
Condition is excellent. Being very picky there is a very small, light scratch on the bezel near the bottom pusher. The original signed strap has been worn, and the previous owner has cut the fixed strap retainer off for whatever reason, but it is not a big problem. The signature bronze crown is working as it should, the sapphire glass is unmarked and the hands are perfect. The movement is running sweetly and the chronograph starts, stops and resets perfectly.
This watch will be supplied with the outer box, original inner presentation box, papers, stickers, unopened cleaning cloth and our Certificate of Authenticity.
