An interesting watch from an interesting brand, the Jorg Hysek Kilada was the watch they launched the company with in 1997.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
The warranty card is included, but the date is badly smudged. Under a loupe we can just about make out the watch was sold in 2014.
CONDITION
Jorg Hysek was born in Germany but moved to Geneva as a boy. In 1975 he started out at Rolex, then designed watches for Vacheron Constantin, Cartier, Tiffany, Ebel and others, but the three best known watches he designed are the Breguet Marine, The TAG Heuer 6000, and the Dunhill AD2000. So the decision to start his own brand was obvious, but it is hard to stand out from the crowd – even with his CV. The Kilada manages to stand out without being obnoxious (sometimes the easiest way to stand out!). The case has drilled holes down each side that resemble aircraft or race car parts. This design is repeated on the clasp, and even repeated in the lume plots on the hands. The case is curved, so fits round the wrist nicely without being too bulky. The edges of the case do have some marks, as do the crown and pushers, but the top is good. The dial of the Kilada has the typical Hysek feature of only showing the numbers 1, 5, 7 and 11. Unlike some Hysek watches this has a standard ETA quartz movement, so parts and servicing should always be available and affordable. We will install a brand new battery before sending the watch out to the new owner. You can still buy a modern version of this watch, which costs just over £4,000. The rubber strap is original and has no cracks or tears.
This watch will be supplied with the original, large, presentation box, papers and our Certificate of Authenticity.
This watch has been checked against the Watch Register and has not been reported as lost, stolen or implicated in fraud, and a copy of that certificate will also be included.
Please see the HD video for more detail. All photos and videos are part of the description and are of the actual watch unless mentioned. We do not photoshop any pictures, and the images are copyright of birthyearwatches.com and should not be used without permission.

From 1st September 2021 we will be planting a tree for every watch we sell, working with the International Tree Foundation (Est 1922) to make this business positive on carbon. By buying anything pre owned you are effectively reusing what already exists, but this takes it further and makes us feel good.
