HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made in January 2012, and this matches the stamped warranty card to say it was sold in October 2012.
CONDITION
Making any promotional item with a football club logo on it is risky – rival fans will not want it. But when that football club is the second best team in the world, that play a lot of attractive, attacking football, it does make more sense (The best team? click here)
while we would question the marketing idea, or even if any football club needs a watch partner, as a stand alone watch this has a lot going for it. The condition is almost like new – the case back sticker is in place but has a couple of tool marks where we changed the battery (it was very tight!). we have the original boxes, papers and instruction books. The watch was designed to be water resistant to 100M, and the screw down crown helps with this. The case is fully stainless steel except for the ceramic bezel, which surrounds a sapphire crystal. The 7T62 movement is similar looking to a mechachron – the chronograph looks and feels like a mechanical chronograph, but is quartz powered. The chronograph hand jumps in 1/5th seconds, or sweeps as it is commonly known. The movement also has an alarm that can be set to the minute. So while the marketing may be iffy, the horology isn’t. This watch had an RRP of £620.
