This Seiko was a modern solution for those people who are visually impaired – with just one proviso. Model reference A682-00A0.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made in 2009. We have also found a similar model in a 2010 JDM catalogue.
CONDITION
By pressing the button on the bottom left this watch will tell you the time via the speaker on the front. The only issue with this solution is that the watch was intended for the Japanese market, so the voice is in Japanese! Strangely the instructions stamped in the case back are all in English, and you can read the full instructions for the A862 movement in either Japanese or English here. You can also set an alarm, and use a chronograph, and the instructions are also announced to you. The watch is in very good condition, and can still be worn to tell the time by using the deep set LCD screen. We will install a brand new battery before sending the watch out to the new owner. The leather strap is very lightly used, and is the original Seiko item. Also still fitted is the Seiko deployant buckle, which is also very useful if you can not see well – You can clip the deployant together with your eyes closed, but doing a buckle would be trickier.
