HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being issued in 2009.
CONDITION
The Seiko sourced movement is working well, as you would expect. The collectors of military watches often get more excited by the case back, so lets decipher those numbers. The top line is 6645-99. 6645 is the NATO supply classification for a timepiece and 99 is the code for the United Kingdom. The broad arrow is showing this was supplied to the Army, and the last two digits of the serial number designates the year this was issued (09 in this case).
On this Pulsar G10 the dial is clean and the hands and lume are still glowing nicely, as demonstrated in the time lapse photo. The case and very edge of the glass have small marks where this has been used, but they are very minor. These watches come with fixed bars for attaching a strap securely, and we have picked a leather NATO style strap. But a grey or black nylon NATO strap might even suit the watch better. The watch will be fitted with a new battery before being sent out.
