This Tutima chronograph has some of their typical pilot model details, like the rotating bezel, but also has oversized sub dials.

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

Tutima were founded in 1927 in the town of Glashutte, the home of German watchmaking.  This watch made to celebrate their 80th anniversary, and this is shown on the case back.

CONDITION

Tutima are one of the more affordable German brands, certainly when compared to their neighbours in Glashutte.  This chronograph uses a base Valjoux 7750 movement, but adapt it to suit their style – so the constant seconds sub dial at three has gone, as has the day of the week.  It is all working well, and is visible via the rear exhibition case back.  The black dial, rotating coin rimmed bezel to assist in navigation and the lumed cathedral hands are all typical of their pilot watches, but the reverse panda oversized sub dials are unique to this commemorative edition.  The case has a few small marks, but is overall good.  The leather strap is the original and has the signed buckle too.

This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.

This watch has been checked against the Watch Register and has not been reported as lost, stolen or implicated in fraud, and a copy of that certificate will also be included.

Please see the HD video for more detail.  All photos and videos are part of the description and are of the actual watch unless mentioned.  We do not photoshop any pictures, and the images are copyright of birthyearwatches.com and should not be used without permission.
