This Longines La Grande Classique, model number L4.709.4.11.2, has the ultrathin case and clean white dial that makes this model popular with a number of people.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
Longines have confirmed that this watch was sold on 6th March 2007 to their South Africa dealer network.
CONDITION
The style of this watch is not going to appeal to those that like big, heavy complicated watches like Breitling chronographs (unless they fancy a change!). Very slim, simply styled and the main word is understated. The case, all stainless steel, is slightly unusual in that the lugs are connected to the case back but not the main body of the case. Once the six screws are removed to allow access to the movement, you find an ETA based Longines 420 calibre and we have fitted a new battery to this. The black leather strap is slightly used but of good quality, and retains the Longines winged logo buckle. An ideal dress watch.
