The Chrono Colt was the slightly smaller and cheaper quartz Chronograph that Breitling offered around the turn of the millennium. Model reference A73350.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the supplied paperwork, which matches the serial number of the watch, we can show that this watch was sold in August 2003. The price at the time would have been £1,295.
CONDITION
We currently have the automatic version of this watch, in the reverse colourway, but the quartz differs to the automatic in more than just how the movement operates. Both are chronometer certified chronographs, on a similar bracelet, but the quartz is set in a smaller case size which might suit some people. Also, more people than before are interested in a grab and go watch, where the date is set and it is running even if it is only worn once a week. The 27 jewel movement is based on an ETA design, and everything including the quick set date is functioning correctly. The movement sits not only behind the screw down case back, but also there is a nicely finished dust protector screwed to the movement. There is a file of service history with this watch too, all from the Breitling AD that supplied the watch, showing it has been well cared for. The silver dial has a nice concentric ring pattern to it when seen up close. We will install a brand new battery before sending the watch out to the new owner. The bracelet is quite long and our sister website, SpareLinks.com, may have extra links if required. The bracelet has been cleaned in our ultrasonic bath. The watch is signed on the dial, case, movement, crown, bezel and clasp.
This watch will be supplied with the original inner and outer presentation boxes, papers (including the chronometer certificate) and our Certificate of Authenticity. The inner box hinge has broken though, and the duct tape fix might hide even worse.
This watch has been checked against the Watch Register and has not been reported as lost, stolen or implicated in fraud, and a copy of that certificate will also be included.
