HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
This range of watches were first introduced in 1998, and then in 2004 became the Aquaracer range. This particular watch comes with sales papers so we can accurately date this watch to being sold in April 2001.
CONDITION
The Tag Heuer 2000 range had the six principles of Tag Heuer watches of this period – 200m water resistance, luminous hands and hour markers, screw in crown, double safety clasp, sapphire crystal and unidirectional bezel. These all featured on the F1, 1500, 2000, 4000 and 6000 models of the time.
This a great example. The dial in particular is clean and bright, with good lume. The lume pip in the bezel is missing, but we can add one if required – it will never be a perfect match to the bezel lume, so not everyone will want this, hence we offer the choice. The bracelet has a few swirlies, which are to be expected, and we have two spare links. The bracelet has been cleaned in our ultrasonic bath. The sapphire crystal is perfect.
This watch will be supplied with the original cardboard outer presentation box, papers and our Certificate of Authenticity.
